Whether you’re looking to enhance your physical performance, relieve stress, or simply enjoy a great workout, the PhysioPlus Functional Strengthening Pilates Class has something to offer everyone.
In this class, we’ll explore the dynamic fusion of traditional Pilates principles with a focus on functional strength. Our certified Pilates Instructor Monica Soderstrom will guide you beyond isolated movements, emphasizing the integration of your core, flexibility, balance, and body strength into your daily activities.
This means that not only will you develop a more toned physique, but you’ll also enhance your posture, reduce the risk of injury, and achieve a heightened level of body awareness. Not to mention increasing your fitness level.

WHAT ARE THE KEY BENEFITS OF GROUP PILATES

- Cost effectiveness (our classes are comparable to all the large pilates classes in the area)
- Expert Guidance Our pilates instructor, Monica, brings a great depth of experience to what she does. On top of being a trained Pilates instructor, she worked as physiotherapist in Sweden for many years and is now a physiotherapy assistant at PhysioPlus specializing in injury rehabilitation.
- Progress Tracking and Accountability: Our Instructor will help you set specific fitness goals and track your progress over time, providing a sense of accomplishment and motivation
- Core Strengthening: The core musculature, including the abdominal muscles, back, and pelvic floor, are engaged and strengthened during Pilates exercises. These exercises target the deep muscles of the core, which provide core stability and support to the spine and pelvis.
- Injury Reduction: Improving balance and overall movement mechanics to reduce injury.
WILL I STILL GET CORRECTIONS DURING THE GROUP PILATES CLASS?
Yes, our low class sizes allow our instructor to provide cueing and corrections (if wanted) for every person attending.
WHAT IS THE CLASS SCHEDULE?
- Class times are weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays 1-2PM
- These are speciality classes with only 5 to 7 people to allow our instructor the ability to focus on participants and offer modifications and cueing needed
- These classes will be MAT Classes with various props to help activate certain, targeted muscles.
