"I'm ready for my first 50K Ultra thanks to Lauren! "
I has a great experience working with Lauren Kanko to treat plantar fasciitis and get me race ready for my first 50k ultra. Without her guidance and support I don’t think I would have been able to start running pain free with enough time to train. Lauren is very professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about her patients, and I would highly recommend her for any physio treatment, and specifically running rehab. Thank you so much!

"Very painful plantar fasciitis"
Dealing with very painful plantar fasciitis I was referred to Brandon (Chiropodist) who was very understanding of my situation and set me on the road to recovery. Brandon also referred me to a physiotherapist, Martin, for shockwave treatments and exercises. All of these worked and I have been able to resume my walking with very little pain in my foot.

Running assessments are used for athletes in one of two categories:
runners who have been injured or are in pain and are looking to get back into the sport, and
runners who are looking to improve their form and physical performance.
Whatever the case may be, PhysioPlus Health Group can get you running to your full potential!
Running assessments use video to record your running technique. This helps the physiotherapist and patient look back at the footage together to focus on problem areas and how they can be improved.
This form of diagnostic testing can evaluate several parts of your body at once, such as:
RUNNING ANALYSIS: SLOW MOTION, FRAME BY FRAME VIDEO ANALYSIS
During a running assessment, you’ll be asked to run on a treadmill for a few minutes with differing speeds.
At each speed, a recording will be taken of your side and your back.
Our physiotherapist will then use slow motion video capture to analyze each phase of gait and any side to side differences to determine areas of risk and key issues related to your injury.
Our Running Physiotherapist may conduct a further physical evaluation and have you do other tests to examine the joints and muscles involved in any issues you may be having.
It goes with saying the condition your feet are in, your choice of shoes and the condition your feet are in can make a huge difference in what you can accomplish as a runner.
At PhysioPlus, our running Physiotherapist and Chiropodist can treat many common conditions suffered by runners to help you get rid of pain and also help you to avoid future injury.
Your Physiotherapist or Chiropodist may make suggestions regarding footwear to better suit your running needs.
