Anne Marie PozzobonCertfified Pilates InstructorAnnaMarie has been teaching Pilates in the west end of Toronto since 2002. She discovered the Pilates method of conditioning in 2000, in search of new challenges to her fitness regime. Impressed by the positive changes it caused in her body as well as improved awareness and body knowledge, she decided to begin instructor training. Over the years, AnnaMarie has taught people with a range of considerations such as: the aches and pains of an inactive lifestyle, age-related weakness, inexperience with movement and exercise, pre- and post-natal requirements, and conditions such as, arthritis, osteoporosis, Multiple Sclerosis, scoliosis and various musculo-skeletal conditions. She enjoys seeing people discover movement capabilities that were previously beyond their reach and is inspired by the progress and improvements of the people she works with. Over the years, AnnaMarie has had success helping people move through the rehabilitation process toward improved functioning and was happy to join PhysioPlus in 2008 to begin to apply her skills and experience in a physiotherapy environment and to discover the new challenges that brings. Anne PandayPilates InstructorAnne fell in love with pilates after her first class. With its focus on core strength and mind/body awareness, it was just the workout she was looking for. After several years into her own practice, she pursued her teacher certification in matwork, the cadillac and the chair with Movement for Health in 2007. Remarkably, she found that pilates was such an effective, and rehabilitative mode of exercise for those dealing with numerous issues and has worked with a diverse range of students, including seniors, dancers, athletes and musicians. She has found that we all share a common ground-the body is meant to move and pilates plays a key role in establishing a long-standing relationship between the body and the mind. And as pilates evolves, Anne continues her education by consistently attending courses, workshops and conferences to bring this information to her clients in order to give them their best possible sessions." |
